Christian Monk is the creator and owner of Beauty and Bodyworks Day Spa. Her entrepreneurial spirit matched with her love for all things beauty has created a business focusing on healing, education, and improved health of the skin and body. As a 2nd generation massage therapist, Christian developed an appreciation and love for the art of massage therapy from her father. Following in his footsteps, she trained at Irene’s Myomassology Institute where she studied various forms of massage therapy such as: Thai, Shiatsu, Swedish, and Prenatal just to name a few. She is also a licensed esthetician and nail technician, receiving her certification from Michigan College of Beauty. Christian also holds a degree in Marketing from Hawaii Pacific University and proudly served in the US Army for 5 years. 

Christian started her business because she wanted a complete change. She started off in the Army and served a tour in Afghanistan, after deploying and living in a tent for 10 months, she just wanted to do something relaxing. Christian fell in love with skin care and never looked back. She has been working in the beauty industry for 11 years, 10 as a business owner.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and bike rides with her kids.
