Alma Blackburn, Publisher/Owner of Ann Arbor Coffee News and Elevate Marketing Ann Arbor
With over 25 years of advertising and marketing experience Alma began her career in Advertising after graduation from Eastern Michigan University. She started at the Ann Arbor News, and obtained several advertising sales positions throughout the years. She challenged herself and earned a Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Eastern Michigan University when she saw the industry shifting gears into digital.
In 2009 she helped launch the new digital start up in Ann Arbor called annarbor.com. In 2013 annarbor.com is absorbed by MLive Media Group. In an Account Executive and Business partner position she learned a tremendous amount of digital strategy. The timing was right and new opportunities came along and in 2017 she started Elevate Marketing and Ann Arbor Coffee News publication.
Alma demonstrates genuine passion and loves partnering and helping customers make a positive difference in their businesses and in their lives. “Marketing is no longer about the stuff we make or sell … it’s about the story you tell. Successful marketing is about connecting, engaging, converting and retaining customers. Cultivating true appreciation and loyalty goes a long way. Sometimes with so much focus on revenue this message is lost in all of the moving parts of running a successful business. Happy customers are customers for life and the BEST ambassadors for your brand. 2017 is the year to help clients remove barriers and make it happen! I’m excited to start my new journey. Here's to the future as one journey ends, another begins.” says Alma in her bio page of Elevate Marketing (elevateannarbor.com)
Alma enjoys spending time with her family and 18 year old twin daughters Ashley and Bianca and loves spending down time at her cabin up north at Higgins Lake.
